Aquila Group (AG) is one of the most important Romanian organizations in the field of active distribution, international and domestic road haulage and provision of logistic services, but the nature of operations is rather regional within the Balkans region. AG covers through various activities Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria and Serbia.

Formed by Aquila Part Prod Com S.R.L., founded in 1994, and Seca Distribution S.R.L., founded in 1999, the group is privately held and has its headquarters in Ploiesti, some 60 km north of Bucharest.

AG’s turnover in 2005 was €116 mil from €100 mil the year before – of which Romania represents €100 mil and Balcans Region €15 mil – and more than 1,800 people were employed at the end of 2005.

People are the most valuable resource of our business, since they are the ones that, by means of skills, expertise and passion effectively use the infrastructure to ultimately generate profit.

Teamwork is essential in a competitive environment like ours, as well as continuous improvement of the individual performance, through adapted training/coaching programs.
 

Within our distribution divisions, we currently employ some 675 sales persons, assisted by over 455 logistics and administrative personnel.

Dedicated transport activities are carried out by over 200 people and value-added logistics services involve 320 qualified people. The operations are under the control of the management team, which consists of 150 specialists.
